Official denial.

A lock for 2025 if he makes it that far.

You ninja'd me. Of course I wanted to announce in an ambiguous way like "Rey Misterio has died".

Agreed, but I wonder if he’s a lock for a QO?

Wrestled for both the WWF and WCW, had TV matches with Stone Cold, Bret Hart and a PPV clash with Hulk Hogan... how could he possibly not QO?

I suppose that even as a wrestling fan myself, he didn’t jump out to me as someone who would be a sure thing. Perhaps I underestimate his degree of fame with the England-based publications. Is this one of those Yahoo aggregator-type things?

You present a fairly convincing case considering his associations with household name wrestlers.

Your comment confuses me sir.  If a wrestler from the WWE/WWF could not get an obit, why would we have an entire thread related to Wrestlers?

On the British scene, it has been posted over on the Wrestling Heritage forum that Peter “Tally Ho” Kaye, probably best remembered as one of the trainers on “The Big Time” was counted out at some point during 2024.

Now also hearing from the same source that WoS era regular Larry “Black Jack Mulligan” Coulton was counted out overnight.

Surely as you say, mate, but the Sun is already covering his admission to hospice care.

This is from Leilani Kai's Facebook
Fred Ottman and his wife Shelia are long time friends of mine. Fred put out a message today letting everyone know that he’s been in the hospital for several days. He’s ok and recovering from an infection and he wanted to let fans know. He’s a big presence online and wanted everyone to know that he was in good hands with Shelia and the staff there. Please keep them in your prayers.

Fred Ottman is also know as Tugboat/Typhoon/Shock Master.

Black Bart has died, according to Leilani Kai's Facebook.

It breaks my heart to share the news that Black Bart, known to his loved ones as Rick Harris, has passed away. His wife shared earlier today that he was pronounced at 5:26 a.m. and is now resting in peace.
Black Bart was a true warrior in the ring, a powerhouse who made his mark in World Class Championship Wrestling and Jim Crockett Promotions with his hard-hitting style and unforgettable presence. But beyond his accomplishments in the spotlight, Ricky was a kind, caring man with a heart as big as his persona. He deeply loved his family and the life they built together, and his passing leaves a void far greater than words can express.
He was more than just a colleague—he was a friend. His legacy in professional wrestling is undeniable, but the love he showed to those closest to him is what truly defined him.
Please join me in keeping his wife and family in your hearts during this difficult time. Rest easy, Black Bart—you will never be forgotten.
Leilani Kai

My phone is acting up but there's already a Daily Star QO for Black Bart and there will be better ones later so anyone worrying about the obit can already breathe easier.
