Lard Bazaar 3,799 Posted June 12, 2009 Baseball star Woodie Held has died. I expect he was popular with the ladies. Shall I be predictable and say I've held a few woodies in my time? Or shall I surprise you all and keep my gob shut? I don't mean to come across as a dirty minded bastard, but is that the oral sex smilie you're using there Lardy? Astonishingly, no it isn't. It's the 'shocked at the thought that Lard might keep her gob shut' smiley

Canadian Paul 97 Posted November 25, 2009 If you're ever in trouble in Singapore... If it's fake, it's consistent at least - the Arabic script says the same thing.
Monoclinic 39 Posted November 25, 2009 If it's fake, it's consistent at least - the Arabic script says the same thing. So Malay is very similar to Arabic, interesting. I like a little factoid now and again. Some Singaporean students visited us and gave a presentation (very small world as one of their lecturers was in fact someone who worked on the same floor as me a "few universities" ago) about their University. I remember them saying the offical languages of Singapore were English, Malay, "any one" Chinese and also an Indian language, I forget which but it surprised me for a very small island to have such an array. I didn't think twice about the characters underneath until you mentioned it and to the (my) untrained eye SE Asian languages all seem a little squiggilish. Canadian Paul 97 Posted January 26, 2010 Bingo Gazingo died on New Year's Day. Judging from the video... actually, I'll just let that one speak for itself... nothing I could ever say would possibly be as amusing as that.

Judging from the video... actually, I'll just let that one speak for itself... nothing I could ever say would possibly be as amusing as that. That guy has a singing voice that is a dead ringer for Captain Beefheart (and the lyrics are similarly nonsensical, it seems).
