You're probably not the only person who's been beaten to St Francis.

Talk about passing out tired. I was laying in bed searching out the anniversary deaths, saw Jobs, intended on posting but woke up seeing I never did lol

It's Nobel prize season, so take a moment to remember Otto Fritz Meyerhoff, of Emoden-Meyerhoff-Parnas pathway fame and Nobel laureate for Medicine, who died this day 65 years ago aged 67.

Has it really been 10 years since Paul Hunter pocketed his eternal black, aged 27?

Founder of the modern Greek state Ioannis Kapodistrias died this day 185 years ago 55. You'll have heard the name if you've ever flown to Corfu.

I remember Paul Hunter's death because my grandfather was an avid snooker fan and quite cut up about it. He died himself about 8 months later.

Floud is mentioned in Spycatcher. Peter Wright seemed more annoyed at the damage his death would do to Wrights career. Apparently he had a knack for folk he interrogated killing themselves at the time.

Ernie Roth, aka The Grand Wizard and Abdullah Farouk, wrote the book when it came to heel managers in professional wrestling and the 1980s expansion would have been very different without various people being "inspired" by his mannerisms. Sadly he never got to see that period as he dropped dead of a heart attack 33 years ago today aged 57.
