Blah blah blah Kennedy Assassination blah blah 55 years ago (age 46).

Ok who among us had EVER known that Aldous Huxley and C. S. Lewis, the gents what wrote Chronicles of Narnia and Brave New World, died the same exact damn day as Kennedy was assassinated?  (Fawcett/MJackson much?)

There can’t have been a bigger day of famous deaths.  Throw in the Nazi’s chief physician during WWII for good measure.

CS Lewis circa 5.35pm, 22nd Nov

JFK 6pm UK time, 22nd Nov

Huxley ruins this as he died at 5.20pm but LA time, which is 7 hours later...

There's a semi-famous book about it that I've never read.

Waiting for Doctor Who to start.  Oh wait, was that the day after?  It's all jumbled up in my memory because my Granny died that weekend as well.

It's a thought though, contrary to  the "popular", there must have been folk out there for whom Kennedy's death was overshadowed by finding out about CS Lewis rather than vice versa. Like how my mum is adamant Farah Fawcett overshadowed any 80s singers who might have died on the same day.

Today in 1978, the jazz trombonist Frank Rosolino, who had no history of mental illness or criminal record, came home from a nightclub performance (there were no drugs or drink in his system), shot both of his sons through the head while they slept and then took his own life.

Hey, I MET Sandy Allen once....at the Guinness World Records museum in Niagara Falls, ONT!  She was making an appearance the day I happened to be there, circa 1986 or so.
