I was surprised no one had posted yet but in reality no one famous died today.

'cept Mel Smith and Bert Trautmann, both in 2013.

and James Garner, last year.

Mr Irony strikes again.

And Lefty Frizzell (1975), Alan Lomax (2002), and Jack Warden (2006)

Sandra Gould was the second person (the original actress died of ovarian cancer) to play Gladys Kravitz, the neighbor lady who often witnesses Samantha's spells on "Bewitched".

She died on this day in 1999, three days before her 83rd birthday.

It's been a dozen years since the Hussein boys, Qusay and Uday (aged 39 and 37) had their lunch rudely interrupted by some Americans.

The beautiful Amy Winehouse died July 23, 2011 from alcohol poisoning and entered the 27 Club.

She prolly shoulda gone to rehab, but she said no, no, no.

She'd rather be in heaven with Ray.

She has got eternity.

(All I can come up with for now)

Died aged 63, 130 years ago, US President and General, Hiram Ulysses Grant. The Ulysses S came from a bureaucratic mistake at West Point.

A like for the first person who can say the other US President with an S which didn't stand for anything as their middle name.

Truman.

Because his grandfathers were called Samuel and something else with S, so they both thought he was named after them.

They found 2x World Snooker champ Alex Higgins dead in his crummy Belfast flat on 24 July 2010.

One of the most brilliant sportsmen ever, very sad way to go.

Sherman Hemsley moved on up, up, up on this day in 2012, aged 74 from lung cancer.

Although his most famous character George Jefferson was LOUD, Hemsley was a quiet man.

Fun Fact: Isabel Sanford, who played George's wife Louise, was 21 years older than Hemsley.

I always thought it was strange that two people died the same age on the same year with the same name
