There were two extremely scary dolls locked away which traumatised my daughter's fantastic gay boyfriend when he was getting the Christmas tree down in December. (Mainly because we were messing with him about their wheabouts but he was genuinely trembling, it was great) Where have they moved to? Here. Boudicca 702 Posted June 5, 2018 They were a gift from the brother I met in 2016 having belonged to my dead mother. Absolutely terrifying looking items. One had a tartan dress iirc. Prophetic. Where the actual fuck are they?! I really hope they're not Roey and Bladan for all our sakes. I'd probably let the Roey doll into the house and give it the use of the WiFi. Bladan is more of an 'outside' character and would have to take his chances with mobile data. [/ overthinking this]

I've done that! Today, mine grabbed a branch, whipped it around, and almost opened my leg. Fortunately, 20 years of dance has at least left me with the ability to gracefully fall out of the way.
Toast 16,144 Posted June 8, 2018 What's a weed eater? How does it know whether a plant is a weed or something that you have planted on purpose?

The top part is an engine. The small round bottom piece holds the line, which is a monofilament around 0.08" in diameter. The line whips around quite fast and makes short work of lawn growth up against houses, trees, fences, walkways, flower beds....and your leg if you get too close to it. That little guard is supposed to protect you, but you would do better to just make sure the damn thing is a decent distance from your anatomy. Anyway, the engine spins the line about 12K RPM, so if it catches something like a rock or other small solid object it can send it sailing through a window with the greatest of ease and speed of a bullet. I was cutting tree branches down a few days ago, and when I subsequently mowed my lawn the weed eater was shooting twigs all over the place. People came outside at their own risk. Toast 16,144 Posted June 9, 2018 Oh yes, a strimmer. I thought it was something clever. Like something you could just set going, and it would go round the garden like one of those robot vacuum cleaners.

Joey Russ 7,228 Posted June 15, 2018 So the Navy apparently wanted to try and recruit me today. Because I am a strong believer in pacifism, I gave them a big fat no. I’ll never join the military...
