The Duke of Edinburgh was treated for a blocked coronary artery after he was taken to hospital suffering from chest pains on Friday. Heir to the throne Prince Charles, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Princess Anne joined the Queen at the Duke's bedside at Papworth Hospital near Cambridge in eastern England, Buckingham Palace said. "The Duke of Edinburgh had a good night and is in good spirits but he is eager to leave," a Buckingham Palace spokeswoman told reporters outside the hospital. The 90-year-old, Britain's longest serving royal consort, was airlifted from the Sandringham estate, in eastern England, where the Royals were celebrating Christmas. The 85-year-old Queen, Andrew and Edward and Anne flew by helicopter from Sandringham to the hospital and spent 45 minutes with the Duke, the palace spokeswoman said. Prince Charles and his wife Camilla arrived later at the hospital from their Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire, south-west England, for a separate visit. The fact that everyone has gone in this time might be an indicator that things are more serious than they are letting on.
