Shame though, Asner was always good value, even in the last decade in US TV shows. Still quite possibly the busiest person in Hollywood at the time of his death: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000799/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

arghton 6,861 Posted August 29, 2021 Rest in Peace. Amazing actor and an amazing person. With Asner dead, only three living survivors from the 2014 DL: Dick Van Dyke, Tony Bennett and Wilko Johnson. Could become the first time a person who was put on the 1st place (Wilko) outlives the other 49. However, Dick is indestructible.

Whitehouse 874 Posted August 29, 2021 The younger among us will remember this role he played. In Up he was that grumpy old geezer who didn't want to move to a senior citizen facility so he uprooted his house. Great movie.

John Robinson 71 Posted August 29, 2021 Sad news. He was a great actor in every movie and TV show he ever starred in. He will be missed tremendously. R.I.P Ed Asner.

Worth noting that the only other title credit of Up was Christopher Plummer, who also died this year.
