Not including the votes from Sandwell, Yakoob has 62595 votes, almost 43K from Birmingham alone. It's entirely possible that without him in the mix we wouldn't still be waiting for the Sandwell result (66K voters). This should have been a cake walk for Labour. According to Nick Eardley (BBC political correspondent), a text to a source close to the Tory rebels has responded "We're still in the pub", suggesting this won't change their failure to move against Sunak.
