China's economy is facing troubles and he has recently purged Foreign Affairs minister Qin Gang and Defense Minister Li Shanfu apparently with no explanation. He seems to be disliked by the progressive wing of CCP (the late Li Keqiang, Hu JIntao's clique, elders as Tian Jiyun, Hu Qili, Zhu Rongji) and even by the old school hardliners (like Song Ping). Recently he received strong direct critique from Chi Haotian and Zheng Qinghong and was reportedly furious after the meeting.
