In other news - was at the Paul McCartney photography exhibition today - at one point they show that classic clip of their brief press conference as they landed in New York, top moment being the question about whether they like Beethoven and Ringo's response that he does "especially the poems!"

I've never had any concerns over Ringo. He's healthy as well due to various health issues as a child, recovering alcoholic (not touching alcohol since the 80's), and not being able to eat certain foods so is vegan.

Yes, without wishing to jinx Ringo (who I have a lot of time for) I'd struggle to think of a younger looking 84 year old. Really hoping he can carry on for a good while longer. He also appears to have more energy than many people half of his age.

I have some insight (that I can't prove whatsoever nor go deeper into so feel free to take this with a grain of salt) that's he's not nearly as healthy as he appears. Given what I know, I'm fairly confident that Paul will be the last of the four remaining. Regardless, I'd say both are on track to make it to 90, bar a serious illness or two.

Hmm, Ringo's in incredible shape for a recovering alcoholic, also prone to a few party drugs who was so ill as a child he missed a massive chunk of schooling. Currently reading Bernie Taupin's autobiography which has quite a lot to say regarding hard partying rock stars of the 70's and 80's, in particular the times Ringo and Keith Moon were a double whammy at parties. Amazing he's still with us, frankly.

Sad but interesting. I saw McCartney's recent show at the O2 where Ringo turned up; it was brilliant, 20,000 people in bits at seeing two Beatles in front of them, but it must be said Ringo seemed less... together, if that's the right word, than Paul. His audience patter was a bit odd and halting.

He's together enough in the interviews. Possible he was just a bit overcome, unlike Macca Ringo doesn't regularly see 20,000 paying punters at one gig.
