Farage personally doesn’t like Tommy Robinson and the whole vibe he represents so I can’t imagine he would u turn just for Musk’s money. At the heart of it Farage would love to win all long term Tory leaning seats but any Robinson backing would be very toxic there.

No politician with an ounce of common sense would want anything to do with Robinson, his appeal is mainly to thuggish Neanderthal cretins and incel types, in other words the exact type of rabble the political far right is desperate to distance itself from

What I find concerning is how the hard-right is being pushed on to us.

Twitter is particularly bad for it. I’m not sure how the algorithms work but they are pushing content on me which I wholly disagree with (although admittedly I don’t do myself a favour by reading it).

I’m getting so concerned with the content being pushed - particularly the amount of anti-state propaganda which has no factual origin - that I’m beginning to think the social media age should be brought to an end. Making us all publishers is clearly a failed experiment.

Another reason I could never be arsed with it

I get the feeling it is all going to build to some dramatic.peak for Musk at some this year. He is getting more and more bizarre in his need for attention and causing drama despite about to be starting a major job.

If he keeps this up post-inauguration he will cause a flurry of diplomatic incidents. It's troublesome enough behaving like this as an influential billionaire. But as a member of a government telling the governments of [supposed] allies how to run their country is a recipe for trouble.

Musk has already dominated headlines. Starmer gives a major speech about the NHS no news alerts but then when he condemns Musk during the question and answer part of it all the media give a news alert just about that.

Ooh, look a very very rich man has something to say. So let us all listen!

A man fascinated by big vehicles and rockets - well, this kind of person is compensating for something, I guess.

I've never seen the importance of listening to very well off people like Trump, Murdoch or Musk. They are allowed their opinions too, of course, but is that more important just because of their bank balance? I say no, but feel free to disagree. It's just another person pissing in the wind. Another bag of bones and fluids awaiting death, like the rest of us.

All those celebs with bags of cash in the bank insisting that it is you - the workers, the hoi polloi - who should donate to charity. Those privileged buggers with three properties minimum who insist that it is you who should work for nothing or volunteer for things to do good for your community - they may even give you a medal for it, but that medal is essentially worthless when they are handed out to the people telling you to do all these things.

I mean, it might be worth listening to folk who lead by example. But not some arse playing video games and tweeting on the bog about how you aren't doing enough.

Anyway, deep breath, carry on chaps!

He does seem either increasingly unwell or completely out of it.

100% he’ll fall out with Trump at some point. That’ll be box office viewing

One of the best Trump posts of all time.

Their falling out is going to be amazing.

I wish someone would take his phone off him and lock away his pills and powder for twenty four hours, then with any luck he may snap out of his social media daze and go back to being a semi-lucid human being again.
