The above is a picture of some Windmill Theatre girls running along the beach (yes a beach!) near to Tower Bridge at the side of the Thames in 1947.

Second from the right is Toni Leighton. Here is her death notice as she has died aged 93: http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/260503/leighton

The beach isn't there anymore. Story here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5983699/When-life-beach-Amazing-pictures-carefree-scenes-forgotten-sand-middle-London.html

When you find one, let us know. Died in Malta. Plenty of tributes out there from Cumbernauld Theatre, E15 Acting School and Riverside Studios.

Given his level of fame and the major deaths over the weekend, a mere 5 days is a drop in the ocean.

Maybe give bods like this a couple of months.

Just spent a good hour and a half trawling his website which has incredible stories from his early days especially on Eric Morecambe, George Cole, Peter Sellers, etc etc. Worth a read: http://www.richardmmills.com/
