Right, day three of the cup and a couple of fans have reportedly left the stadium. They expected a quick opening and they’re now disappointed that it didn’t happen. 
On the flip side, John Ridland dying before the starting line might be a bit of a blessing in disguise, as there is no sign of a QO anywhere. Could turn out to be better than some people...

Ah, that was what I was hinting at with that last sentence. So yep, we finally have a scorer, where tejano musician Mario Vigil seems to have fallen to a Koopa. And a unique joker for Sir Creep too, giving him an 8 point lead. No one to date has made up that margin. Does Sir Creep already have the invincibility star for this match, or does Skinny Kiltrunner have a mushroom that could rush him ahead in later rounds. All we know is that this will be as highly anticipated as Mario vs Bowser. In the mean time, points!

For a guy who published a bunch of books, taught at the same university for over 40 years, and can't get an obituary (or mention of his passing at all) in the local or university paper, he must have been a real jerk.

Arap Moi has died. The leader of a Banana state was the most pick of this round (might be the most picked hit to date!), and as such, a ton of people say moi too when it comes to picking the former head of Kenya. So, at least one person in every tie gets some points. Many ties are on equal scoring, and as such the only change is 3 points for everyone. LizLemon vs Etush, Annami vs grobler, HDS vs Great Uncle Bulgaria all get 3 points per match. Also having both members score are the highly anticipated Skinny vs Sir Creep, the latter now in double digits whereas Skinny is only 3 points. Both members of the FixedBuisiness vs Unknown Man and Djemba vs Yorkshire also have both members scoring. However, FixedBuisiness and Yorkshire have now cashed out on their jokers and take a lead in their tie. There are some people who take a lead due to lack of of the leader. In this case, Old Crem takes a shock lead against Jiroemon, DeathByArsenic takes a lead against Sean, Wormfarmer takes a lead against Joemoney, and An Fear Beag scores joker points against markb4. Having de ja vu again?

All hands on deck, as HDS had a nice twitter find of Terry Hands failing health on twitter. As such, he now leads his tie against the Great Uncle Bulgaria.

 

EDIT: Wikipedia is now reporting the death of Nadia Lutfi, which is a pick for Skinny. As such, he goes back up to only a four point deficit where it looks to be the most exciting round of the month.

So Spartacus has fallen. That’s right, the absolute legend Kirk Douglas has died. Three people will try to claim themselves as Champion now, although there’s still 24 days to go. Etush has a bit of a decisive advantage over LizLemon as we see if he makes it on to round 2. FixedBusiness also had him, and nows has a decisive 6 point lead over Unknown Man. Markb4 also had him, showing that he might be an underdog after all...

So Jhon Jairo Velazquez has died and scores for two teams. Jiroemon is tied in his tie against Old Crem and winning currently on age and Sir Creep now has a two to one ratio against Skinny, in what could potentially beat my and Banana’s match last year as the highest scoring match overall...
