Speaking of pro-wrestlers, nothing amazes me more than knowing that Scott Hall and Kevin Nash are still alive. Thanks everyone for all the comments on this year's DL. Lots of criticism for such an elderly list, then when we do pick someone relatively youthful we get accusations that he's not famous enough. Piper apparently hosted a celebrity wrestling show on UK TV in 2005 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/t...dio/4440957.stm, although I must confess I missed that one. For wrestling fans he was up there with Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, The Earthquake, Big Boss Man, The Undertaker, British Bulldog, among others. For non-wrestling fans in the UK, he probably would be unknown, but I think that there is a wide enough following to guarantee him a UK obit if he were to die, so for me he satisfies the "famous enough" category. Dr Hackenslash 25 Posted January 2, 2007 He's as Scottish as Star Trek's Scotty But, to be fair, he did headline the first few Wrestlemanias, etc, and "played" the bagpipes during Summerslam 92 at Wembley Stadium in front of 80,000-plus. Owen Hart only received a mention in the UK press because of how he died - ie entering the ring, etc - and because the WWF/E decided to carry on the Pay-Per-View (called Over the Edge, ironic as he died after falling from the rafters...).
