The Swiss television journalist, director and author Corinne Pulver died on October 10, 2023 at the age of 96 - one day before the 94th birthday of her sister Lilo Pulver, our No. 3 on this year's D-A-CH list. Once again we chose the wrong sibling, see the Wepper brothers ;)

https://www.sueddeutsche.de/medien/corinne-pulver-tot-nachruf-pionierin-gestorben-fernsehen-1.6312438?reduced=true

Fun fact: Corinne Pulver probably had an affair with Martin Walser, who was a hit for us in July, at the end of the 1950s.

When I saw this thread updated my fear was Rolf Schimpf, who is bit of a cult figure for me, had died.

Luckily this is not the case and he plans to live other three years. Good luck Rolf!

DACHL-List candidate Eckart Dux (b. 1926) had to cancel an appearance at a "King of Queens" screening in September. He only had two voice roles this year, once as Moriarty in "Star Trek: Picard", a role he already voiced 30 years ago and in "The Great Escaper" where he starred alongside fellow DACHL-List candidate Jürgen Thormann (b. 1928). Thormann officially retired in 2022 but might have made an exception this time, as this movie will be Michael Caine's last film, for whom he has provided his voice for almost 60 years.

The bane of Southern Europe during the Financial Crisis (but also the legal architect of German Reunification). I read an interview with him, about 2 months ago, he complained that nobody is calling his phone anymore. I guess he sort of died of either boredom or feeling useless.

Edit: They've added now that he died after a long, heavy illness. If he had cancer, it was a secret.

We have our first hit, but unfortunately in the wrong year: Our No. 26 Torsun Teichgräber aka Torsun Burkhardt has died yesterday.

He was 49 and had cancer.

https://www.zeit.de/kultur/musik/2023-12/torsun-burkhardt-tod-krebs-egotronic

The place will be filled as quickly as possible.

Edit: Annette Rexrodt von Fircks, last year at No.31, is getting Torsuns place.
