An Fear Beag 1,535 Posted April 10, 2022 Thanks for running this again @Bibliogryphon. I love pools where you can submit a team and then forget about it for 2 years! Some great looking teams out there full of decrepit nonagenarians and centenarians, so the competition will be stiff. I think I will go high-brow this time and pick: Naked Gun 33 1/3 Shannen Doherty Lou Felder Ed Williams SUB: James Earl Jones 1

I think I've seen 18 and I wouldn't call myself a film buff. My 4 guesses simply because I think everybody has seen them would be Elf Harry Potter and Chamber of Secrets (cinema) Die Hard (cinema) Mary Poppins but if that's right then you have a lot of good films to watch (not Confessions of a Window Cleaner though!) Lewd_Squirrel 331 Posted April 11, 2022 The two non-cinema ones, I'm guessing are Cabaret & The Velveteen Rabbit.

It seemed to be on every Saturday in the 80s, most famously it is what replaced The Late Late Breakfast Show when Michael Lush was killed. I have seen 9 or 10 of the films on the list. I've seen, I think, 16.5, the 0.5 being The Manchurian Candidate, which I fell asleep during, not setting an alarm beforehand, oversleeping and missing my flight.

No. Mel Brooks is a bit hit and miss for me. Love Young Frankenstein & Space Balls but Blazing Saddles left me cold
Toast 16,164 Posted April 11, 2022 I've hardly seen any of them in a real sense, although I have seen lots of bits of some. And I've been in the room when some have been on the TV. I have seen : Mary Poppins (in the cinema when v young) Amelie Die Hard The Longest Day Ferris Bueller's Day Off I did see a Harry Potter film in the cinema, but I think it was the first one. Didn't bother with any more.

We took a group of Kids to see HP & The Philosopher's Stone. My sister-in-law fell asleep. While the books are extremely derivative that first film sucked out any possible joy from them. Only the very competent adult cast save them.
