Glenne Headly, pretty notable film and TV actress (was in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, but also had more recent roles such in Don Jon and HBO series The Night Of), died aged 62.

She also starred in Dick Tracy opposite Warren Beatty. Very sad loss. :( RIP.

I remember watching Dick Tracy as a youngster and thinking how she was waaaay more sexy than Madonna who also had a major role in the film. :D:D:D

UPDATE: Obits are saying that it was very sudden and she was in the middle of filming a series.

FWIW, here is a UK obit for Glenne Headly:

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/news/glenne-headly-dead-dick-tracy-the-circle-emma-watson-future-dies-died-67-tributes-a7782451.html

Still no cause of death given. Obviously it was the excitement of the UK election that did her in. ;)

Sad that her sudden, shock death won't receive one tenth of the coverage that Carrie Fisher's did, even though she was a much better actress and, by all accounts, a much nicer person. Just luck of the draw that Star Wars was a big hit and Dick Tracy wasn't as big a success.

IIRC Carrie Fisher's #1 lead story death coverage lasted a whopping 24 hours.

Almost as if Star Wars was a bigger film than Dick Tracy or something.

How come we didn't hear about his 'battle with pancreatic cancer' before? I hate these families and/or celebs who won't spill the beans. Privacy....screw your privacy. TELL THE MEDIA!

Anyway....RIP.

I personally respect the decisions of the family. Many want it to be private and keep it a personal matter until they die, and I respect their decision.

And isn't that the greatest thing? I learnt quite a bit going through the names and quite a few of them are eminently and highly obitable! And look at some of those birth dates! Bill Butler for example will certainly obit here for his opus.

Well now he gets his chance.

Twins Hank and Will were 23 in March 2012, so 28 or 29 at most.

Always thought it a curious tactic for DI to pick a film on his DDP team last year tbh.

I have just been reading about William Daniels. Not exactly a household name but...

1. He had a role in The Graduate as Dustin Hoffman's dad

2. He was the voice of KITT in Knight Rider

3. He is the former president of the Screen Actors' Guild

4. He is aged 90.
