themaninblack 2,112 Posted October 6, 2005 With the death of Ronnie Barker, you have to consider the Rev. Ian Paisley, who seems to be going through the same process of big man to little man. Having seen him on the news, he's looking a lot more chipper, so I take it back!
Teddy 21 Posted October 6, 2005 Gore Vidal will be 81 next year. A fascinating fellow with some interesting views on 9/11 Good call TF, I would agree with that And let's not forget one of Gore's main protagonsists throughout the 60's, the one and only Norman Mailer. On of my favourite stories relates to an appearance on some show, shortly after Gore Vidal had said there was a direct link between Henry Miller (author of Tropic of Cancer), Norman Mailer, and Charles Manson. Just as they were getting ready to go on to the show, Mailer turned and asked Vidal if he was planning to repeat that assertion. When Vidal said yes, Mailer headbutted him, and said 'Try it'. Vidal appeared on the show, very subdued, and even when asked by the host about his claims, refused to repeat them. One way to silence your critics!

He has an existing thread right here. his liver is already buried, think the rest of him will follow in 2005 or 2006? I think that his demise will be a strong possibility for 2006. He was recently hospitalized for a liver infection and remains in poor health.

FiercePanda 0 Posted October 12, 2005 Alsooooo,What about Ba (Mr T).He is looking a little shakey on his feet nowadays due to his condition. Or another contender could be a suprise knockout Muhammed Ali!! I would love to see a Rocky style puch-up with those two involed! Just Imagine it,the insults would fly: Mr T:" I pity the Fool" M.Ali: " I gonna knock you into next ...Wednesday..." Cheers Fierce.

Paul Bearer 6,100 Posted October 16, 2005 How's Frank Serpico these days? Born 1936 (not that old then) but some of the fragments of the bullet that were lodged in his head might be on the move. Frank Serpico
Mortician 2 Posted October 18, 2005 Mrs Mort ran into Eddie Large, or more accurately Mrs Large walked into Mrs M while trying to circumnavigate the rotund 'comic' at the local shops. Mrs M reports that 'he looked as rough as a badger's arse' with the purple nose and face of someone who's been saying hello to too many empty bottles... What chance of Eddie and George Best fighting it out for the next available liver?
Banshees Scream 110 Posted October 18, 2005 Author, Phyllis Whitney, age 102 and actor Charles Lane, age 100 would be good suggestions for next year's deathlist. They have both had very successful careers in their respective fields and having reached their 100th birthday, one can only expect their health to go downhill. Very clever suggestions. I would agree with the Charles Lane possibility most of all. He will be 101 come January.
