The phrase "Yer tea's oot" comes from the play 'Just a Boy's Game' from the late 70's starring Frankie Miller (hence the avatar). weatherman90 7 Posted October 15, 2005 Pretty easy to see where my name is derived. Born in 1990, used to like weather alot. I had always wished that I had made it something more relevant and clever having to do with deaths. I don't know why but I still use weatherman90 wherever I register, it makes for alot of search results on google. The 'ei' is a diphthong that English doesn't use. If you pronounce it as rhyming with 'fine', you're pretty close. Growing up Uncle Wilfie (as he wished to be known) was quite close to me and always a doting gentleman giving me most anything I wanted (except a visit to Walter Cronkites Palace of Pleasure).. It was Uncle Wilfie that first let me know of my interest in men...uh, maybe I had best save that for another time. You stress the first syllable, as if it were a dactyl. By the way, I always presumed that the most accurate pronunciation for 'loch' would be something like 'lok' (it says so in my dictionary, for that matter). The first syllable is stressed, the other two not. In terms of verse it's a dactyl. The a is a long vowel. Unfortunately English doesn't use that phoneme, but the "aaaargh" sound you make when you stub your toe comes very close. Both e's are schwa's. The g is indeed pronounced as in 'loch'.
