Gross Urnings 0 Posted January 6, 2006 Good work Gross Urnings - your prize is that the DeathList committee loved the suggestion and put him at no. 1 to secure a resounding success - I'm sure you are honoured I am indeed! This find almost makes up for the years I wasted on Bob Hope!
Tempus Fugit 214 Posted January 6, 2006 Hurrah for Mr. Rawls, You done us proud buddy. Thank goodness he managed to make it to '06 A really fantastic start to the DeathList.
The Four Horsemen 26 Posted January 6, 2006 3 pages of posts since he died and no-one has done a "decomposing" joke yet? I thought that was mandatory for all dead musicians..........
Banshees Scream 110 Posted January 6, 2006 Hurrah for Mr. Rawls, You done us proud buddy. Thank goodness he managed to make it to '06 A really fantastic start to the DeathList. Lou Rawls seemed to be a gift for the DL or even an early birthday gift for myself. He didn't even last a week in January so we must be grateful that he didn't die in 2005. BrunoBrimley 86 Posted January 6, 2006 I would say that he is famous enough. Maybe an early success if the DL committee ends up adding his name to next year's list. Got that one right...... Congratulations to Mr. Rawls on hitting #1 on the charts once more
IKYWN 6 Posted January 6, 2006 Fantastic start to the year. What's the odds of the No.1 pick going in Week 1?
Grim Reaper 186 Posted January 6, 2006 Fantastic start to the year. What's the odds of the No.1 pick going in Week 1? Good question... maybe its 52-1, or maybe 50-1, or perhaps (52*50)-1, or probably, in fact, odds on

Canadian Paul 97 Posted January 6, 2006 US singer Lou Rawls has died First of all, that's a direct hit, not a near miss. Second of all, is it really all that much trouble for you to unglue yourself from wikipedia's Recent Deaths and find an actual article? I'm going to start pasting fake deaths on there and watch you post them in this thread. Because I can.

in eternum+ 22 Posted January 6, 2006 Hurrah! An ace in the hole! Well done team! Guess he won't be appearing on Stevie Wonder's Tribute Show after all... As aforementioned, I do think Lou Rawls was an excellent musician; hopefully his death will spark a renewed interest in his music.

Canadian Paul 97 Posted January 7, 2006 How tacky would that be! Maybe they'll change it to A Tribute to Lou Rawls. I suggested that somewhere above, although it'll be a bit creepy if it does happen. I think more likely, they'll tack on a little thing to dedicate it to his memory.

Ringo 0 Posted January 7, 2006 Death is a good career move for some singers aka Elvis, Jackie Wilson Roy Orbison etc. Let's see if it has similar affect with Lou. I will be putting my TSOP album on ebay in eager anticipation.
