in eternum+ 22 Posted February 16, 2006 the little white mark on the corner shows whether you have posted in it (white marks means posted in this none meanns not) means you have posted in it _________________________ means you have not Aha! Thanks for that deadornot! I was wondering what that meant...

in eternum+ 22 Posted February 16, 2006 I've noticed that when you check out someone's profile, you can see what they are currently doing on the site if they are online. Know we all know when you're sending out PMs... And speaking of looking at members' profiles... I've noticed that if you go into a member's profile and click in the Profile Options drop-down list (top right-hand corner), one of the selections is Ignore User. Anybody know what happens when you select this option? I'm hesitant to try it out on anyone lest I not be able to reverse it, and must unwantedly ignore them forever! If it does what it does on the other forum I've been on, it makes the posts by that user invisible to you and blocks incoming PMs. I'm rather unwilling to test it though... DevonDeathTrip 2,358 Posted February 16, 2006 Никакие реально, я как раз нашел это очень сподручное место где я могу перевести английскую язык внутри к всем видам языков! Magere Hein 1,400 Posted February 16, 2006 Ooh, I just found another new feature of the new forum software: we can now rate topics. What a delight. regards, Hein
BrunoBrimley 86 Posted February 16, 2006 This could prove to be interesting..............does it work as the polling system does where each person is allowed one vote or can I multii-vote until Uncle Wilfie is top rated?
Grim Reaper 186 Posted February 16, 2006 I found out how to enable this last night, however I believe it is very limited in that the topic rating is simply set or changed by any of the people that have the power to do ratings ie Mods.

Lady Grendel 139 Posted February 16, 2006 The only problem I've had is when I archive my PM's, when they are sent to my email address they are encoded and look like a load of gobbledygook, I've tried archiving them under both formats but the end results are the same. maryportfuncity 10,647 Posted February 16, 2006 S'cuse me being a bit thick here but how do you add your 1-5 star rating to a thread? I've got the hang of the rest of the changes.

Yup, I had the same problem. I managed to translate the gobbledygook to HTML with the help of base64.exe (Windows only), but it took major surgery. regards, Hein
in eternum+ 22 Posted February 16, 2006 In the name of... research... I have elected to 'Ignore' a member. Only to see what happens, of course. Research trials indicate the following: the fact that the member has posted, appears. However, the text within the post is replaced with: If you click on 'View this post', the text that the member posted then apears as it would normally. If you close the thread and open it again, their post disappears, to be replaced once again by the options above. Rather unfortunately, I ran out of funding halfway through this research project, and am therefore unable to complete it at this time. The 'Un-ignore" option thus remains unexplored. Rather unfortunately, I ran out of funding halfway through this research project, and am therefore unable to complete it at this time. The 'Un-ignore" option thus remains unexplored. The DLTWG permanently lacks sufficient funding. The recent doubling of the research budget doesn't even start to address the problems. Magere Hein 1,400 Posted February 16, 2006 (edited) What's this "merge two consective posts by the same member" thingy? I've seen ff struggle with that recently. regards, Hein What's this "merge two consective posts by the same member" thingy? I've seen ff struggle with that recently. And this is a test to see it. Edit: and yes, two posts merged. Looks rather silly. regards, Hein Edited February 16, 2006 by Magere Hein
