Sir Creep 7,070 Posted April 24, 2022 Ed Dailey — the affable and revered Tri-Cities broadcaster, whose buttery baritone graced the airwaves for several years as the host of KORD-FM's "Legends of Country" — died Wednesday after a long battle with lymphoma. He was 65. His death comes less than a month after his family lost their Benton City home in a fire. Dailey, who was terminally ill and on hospice care, was pulled from his burning home by family. The Specs Howard School of Media Arts trained generations of broadcasters who made their names in metro Detroit and beyond from its founding by Howard in 1970. I’m here to tell you anyone who was anyone in radio from 1975 onward, at least in the Midwest USA, came out of Specs Howard School, among them Howard Stern. He was 96 (despite what the URL indicates). Hanover hosted the CMHL-AM show Mayor of the Morning beginning in the 1940s.
