According to the news he had an audience of about 50, some of whom dialled 999 and some of whom egged him on. And the ranters call US sick!

Bjørnar the Eagle I see you've discovered the b + ) = unless of course you meant "educational cool political"? You can do educational political etc. though, by using (or for bullet points, for roman numerals, for numbers) then using a [*] for each point, finishing off with [/ list] without the space between / & list. Have I overdone the explanation, sorry if you already knew this and just made a mistake. The crazy things I get up to whilst waiting for death, eh?

If all goes to plan I do now. Okay - maybe not the list bit thenNo, my bad for not testing them first. 'list' in square brackets seems to work, but the others don't seem to work properly. The only one I've used before is 'list', I just copied the instructions for the others from the BB Code Help section under the emoticon selection you get when posting. Odd that my post appears different just because you quoted it, and I got the a. b. c. list to work originally but when I try it in this post it comes out like this instead of a b c etc. I am now a bit confused, as generally happens when I try to explain things to people. Any techy people know where I'm going wrong with my BB Code, other than giving a sh*t in the first place?
CarolAnn 926 Posted March 29, 2007 Any techy people know where I'm going wrong with my BB Code, other than giving a sh*t in the first place? I vote for the problem being giving a sh*t in the first place. Is this where you are teaching old dogs new tricks?

Is this where you are teaching old dogs new tricks? It would be if I knew of anything that fitted either category. I've already taught my sister-in-law to juggle so that's out. Monoclinic 39 Posted March 29, 2007 Okay, I had a look at all the wonderful tricks you can do but how do you find out the post/topic numbers? The only way I found them was by looking at the url/http malarkey. I ignored all those lovely pink boxed code sql things as I haven't got a scooby what they're on about. Thank-you! The only way I found them was by looking at the url/http malarkey. I ignored all those lovely pink boxed code sql things as I haven't got a scooby what they're on about. Thank-you! Just click on the post#168 (or whatever number) bit in the top right corner of a post and copy what's in the box before you hit reply, then highlight the word where you want the link & use the insert link option and paste; like this being careful to copy over the http:// bit that's already in the box or you'll have it twice and balls up the link. Or that might be what you meant you already did, so you can also use 'snapback', 'post=' or 'topic='. When you click on the post168 bit, the very last bit is the post number i.e. 94483. Just do <{POST_SNAPBACK}> for the snazzy arrow, or clicky for a post link. In the same link it says showtopic=4315 or the like, so use topic clicky to go to the start of the topic. You'll need to look at my post in reply mode to see what I've done, of course. If you can be arsed. Hope one of those helps! Sorry mods, this should all be in the 'deathlist howto' thread if someone can move it for me? Ta.
