Would it be wrong to use his trial scenes as my screensaver?

Hunger strike was short-lived

That doesn't surprise me a bit.

Edit: It's interesting to observe that someone who wouldn't hesitate to gas thousands of his own subjects doesn't even manage to miss two meals.

regards,

Hein

Perhaps he'd intended to carry on for longer but there was something really yummy on the menu. If I was on hunger strike I'd find it hard to resist a cooked breakfast or a banana split. I wonder what Saddam's favourite foods are.

That was no hunger strike, that was a lifestyle choice!

I'm feeling a bit annoyed for putting Hussein on my DDP now.

I was foolish to think that he would be guilty and hung (no penis jokes please (especially BHB)) in a year.

Turns out that after this trial he will face another one. Pesonally, I can't see the point. You can only kill him once...

Saddam begins fresh hunger strike

I wonder if he'll last longer than a couple of meals

Hmmm....
Three co-defendants of the former Iraqi leader are also said to have refused some food over the past six days
So if I miss breakfast can I claim that I was on a hunger strike all morning, by way of protest at shoddy alarm clock manufacturing processes under the current government?
US military officials said that the strikers were had refused meals since 7 July, but were receiving medical attention and were drinking fluids with nutrients added
Erm, not quite up in the Bobby Sands league of dedication is it? I thought the point of a hunger strike was that eventually you'll become malnourished and die if your demands aren't met by way of protest, rather than just going on those strawberry flavoured build-up shakes for a few days. :P

with the news that Ariel Sharon is also probaly in his final hoursc (according to CNN) ,would be ironic if Saaddam also met his demise at the same time

How is that ironic?

This is just another case of you squeezing out one news story into as many threads and posts possible.

Saddam wants to be executed by firing squad

Far too swift. Burning at the stake would be better.

Well, we will find out what happens in October

Saddam to learn fate in October

I hope his execution (by whatever method) is televised.

That would be interesting though.

I can just imagine how the event would take place.

Commentator:- "And now we go live to the execution of Saddam Hussein. And Heeeeeeeere's Saddam!!"

Voice-Over:- "Saddam Hussein's execution was brought to you by Addidas, McDonald's and Pantene official sponsors of The Execution"

Perhaps they should release footage of public executions and overdub an acid house music soundtrack and call them Graves ;)

I for one would be lost if Phantom did not keep us up to date on this matter. I greatly appreciate the fact that someone cares enough to give this information even though they don't seem to care to divulge as much info on that barbaric Tariq Aziz fellow who I suspect was the mastermind behind Saddy being captured in the first place.

So what about it Phantom? Can you tell us more about Tariq?
