Scotsman obit Joe Gaston (wiki), international for Ireland (8 appearances, 1954–56), died on 19th October, aged 93. Death notice Amongst the oldest living players for their respective nations. It wasn't recognised as a cap at the time, but earlier this year he was awarded a retrospective cap as presumably World or Scottish rugby recognised it as a cap-winning game. Yeah he said the retrospective cap this year made him think he needed to be more active with charity runs despite "not being a spring chicken" or very active for his age.
