To die for 3 Posted March 27, 2007 According to Wikipedia Heinz Schiller obscure F1 driver has died Expect a 'damn' and 'blast' from OoO.... Spotted that article earlier but haven't actually found any other confirmation, not that I wouldn't believe Wikipedia... DevonDeathTrip 2,357 Posted March 27, 2007 Ancient Cuban musician Faustino Oramas, one of the last remaining stars of the acclaimed Buena Vista Social Club, has died at an uncertain age While documents record his birth as in 1911, Oramas was never sure of his exact age. Some say he was as old as 103. Also joining him in the queue at the pearly gates, former Roman Catholic Archbishop of Wales John Aloysius Ward has popped off at the age of 78. Octopus of Odstock 2,180 Posted March 27, 2007 According to Wikipedia Heinz Schiller obscure F1 driver has died Expect a 'damn' and 'blast' from OoO.... I had no idea he was ill. In fact, to be fair, "obscure" fits the bill, as we didn't know an awful lot about his current activities. Decent hill climber, but his career at top level was relatively undistinguished. Proof, by the way here and here. More press coverage than I would've expected. So no "damn" and "blast" but a "oh, that's a shame" from OoO. TIP: The last three F1 drivers to die (Reggazoni, de Graffenried & Schiller) have all been Swiss. If I were you put your money on the next driver to go than you could do worse than go for Swiss driver Heini Walter to go next. He's 79, fat & hasn't been in brilliant health. Olveres 8 Posted March 30, 2007 Are "Jewish" and "Hebrew" not Politically Correct? That's disturbing. Have I already mentioned that I detest Political Correctness as hipocrisy? To some people probably not, likely to be a non Jewish person, likely to work for some left wing council and have too much time on their hands. Reminds me of the Gulf War in 1991, when Massive Attack changed their name to Massive so as not to offend anyone. Funny, I found the dead children I kept seeing on TV each night due to another well aimed cruise missile more offensive than the name Massive Attack.
