harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy 1,684 Posted July 24, 2007 I can find an Ali, a La Motta and even a Naseem Hamed thread, but no general boxing one. It seems a fairly dangerous activity to me, as evidenced by the appearance of Panto Frank on the 1989 DL as he was about to face Tyson.I'll get to my point, shall I? I guess even boxing is less dangerous than shooting.

Lord Fellatio Nelson 6,218 Posted July 27, 2007 A terrible end to a life for sure but, I do have to broach the subject. Does the term "Brain dead" really apply to Boxers? Just wondering.
harrymcnallysblueandwhitearmy 1,684 Posted September 24, 2007 I sometimes think boxing press conferences are a lot more entertaining than the actual fights, and at least they're not on at 4 in the morning at £20 a pop. Doubtful that Hatton will win, but I'm sure he'll have another mouthful of abuse at the ready if he does.

themaninblack 2,112 Posted July 12, 2009 I find it ironic that in the week when the very existence of men has been questioned, with many suggesting that a world without men is considered 'a good thing', we've had stories this week in which two sports stars have allegedly been murdered by their wives/girlfriends and one where a young lad was murdered after being deliberately led on by his supposed 'girlfriend' into a trap... Mind you, in a world without men, there be no-one for women to murder/plot against...

Terminator 13 Posted July 18, 2009 If Boxing itself's not dead....it's hit rock bottom. ITV4 are showing the women boxers for the first time and have dragged in some ex-Big Brother evictee and thrown a muppet up against her. She can't lose..... Although, personally, I'd be happy to see her twitching carcases dragged from the canvas. Yes, I hate BB THAT much. Update Well, "Angel" McKenzie won. No surprise there, but I was cheered up by the audience's booing.

Banshees Scream 110 Posted November 3, 2009 .. Dim the lights. Showtime commentator and former CNN journalist Nick Charles is battling stage 4 bladder cancer. At the same time, we have the father of the cocky and undefeated Floyd "Money" Mayweather Jr, Floyd Mayweather Sr., who is suffering from this incurable and unpredictable lung disease called sarcoidosis. While I was switching through the channels, I just happened to catch him saying "that every time he coughs" it scars his lungs.
