Sir Creep 7,070 Posted October 31, 2018 Former Green Bay Packers offensive lineman Bob Skoronski has died at age 84. He played with the Packers during the 1960s under Coach Vince Lombardi. Skoronski pro football career started in 1956 when the Packers drafted the offensive tackle out of Indiana University in the fifth round. He not only captained the Packers' Super Bowl championship teams in the '60s, but he was a Pro Bowl selection in 1966 and earned himself a spot in both the Green Bay Hall of Fame (1976) and on the Packers' all-time Modern Era Team. Sir Creep 7,070 Posted November 5, 2018 Former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive lineman Vince Manuwai, 38, died Sunday, the team confirmed in a statement. Manuwai was reportedly found unresponsive in his Hawaii apartment and taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted Manuwai in the third round of the NFL draft in 2003 and played for the Jaguars his entire NFL career through 2010. The part-time Naples resident and legendary former Bears coach, 79, had been hospitalized last week with what his agent had confirmed was a mild heart attack. Bobo and Colorado State Univ (where Bobo is head coach) athletic director Joe Parker both put out statements regarding the situation. The Los Angeles Rams drafted Robertson from Southern University in the first round of the 1971 NFL draft. He remained with the Rams through 1978, then played from 1979 to 1982 for the Buffalo Bills. "He's been dealing with depression for years," his daughter Jamie told The Seattle Times. "I can't pinpoint exactly when, but he started to notice some memory loss. He just couldn't remember things." Jamie Jones said that her father shot himself with a shotgun Friday and was pronounced dead Saturday. According to his daughter, he had recently been diagnosed with early-onset dementia, his family suspected he suffered from CTE and he had a history of alcohol abuse. Atkinson played defensive back and was a special teams mainstay for the Fighting Irish from 2011-13. Atkinson’s twin brother George III, a running back, played with him at Notre Dame after the two starred together in high school. Citing a release from the Baltimore university, news outlets report the former Hopkins quarterback who led his alma mater's football program for 29 years died Wednesday at home. Less than a month ago, Margraff guided the Blue Jays to the NCAA Division III semifinals for the first time. With Margraff at the helm, Johns Hopkins posted a 221-89-3 record, won a Centennial Conference-record 14 league championships and made the NCAA playoffs 10 times. Welsh, who coached at Virginia from 1982-2000, died on Wednesday, according to a school release. Welsh is the most successful coach in UVa football history. During his 19 years at the helm, the Cavaliers compiled a record of 134-86-3 and shared two ACC titles. Welsh retired from coaching in 2000 as the winningest coach in ACC history.
