  5. John Benfield c 1957

  8. Christopher Owen c 1946
  9. William Morgan Sheppard b. 1932
  10. Jon Rumney b. 1928
  11. Lorna Yabsley b. 1964
  12. Denis Gilmore b. 1949

  18. Albie Woodington b. 1952
  19. Andrew Paul b. 1961

Obviously the younger cast will keep it around for a while but it's actually 1/4th of the list down in 5 years.

John Duttine once spotted LFN on a train, or so I hear.

As that Dr Who list I did 16 months ago has had over 30 deaths since, it is now woefully out of date. Also, a number of other names have been confirmed as alive, which is nice. So, here's an update stretching to 1953 (ie actors/actresses/writers/directors 68 or older in 2021). Some folk are still difficult to track down, but I think we've got nearly every QO cert Dr Who alumni down now, including some who had kept their DOBs secret. Take a bow Jane Sherwin. If the year of birth is a rough estimate (see Peter Fraser, not a stage name but a bloody common one, the c for circa remains!)

17.  1939 –Geoffrey Kirkland, Ian Thompson, Peter Purves, Marina Martin, Lynda Baron, Eric Mival, Rudolph Walker, John Moreno, Paul Grist, Bob Baker, Garrick Hagon, Jonathan Newth, John Cleese, Ian McCulloch, Jonathan Burn, Edmund Pegge, James Fox, Ian McKellen, Meg Wynn-Owen, Ronald Rich (c.), Richardson Morgan (c.)

Ian Thompson dead on the latest Equity mag and reported here as having died in July: https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Ian_Thompson

Probably more famous generally for playing Derek in the film A Touch Of Class and Ronnie Slater in Emmerdale.

Happily not, apparently.  Don't know how to embed tweets, but Toby has tweeted that his information was incorrect and John Atterbury still lives.

Sally Knyvette has been in hospital recently for an operation. She has been exchanging Tweets with Sheila Dillon (The Food Programme) about the quality of hospital food

No immediate alarm but health intelligence

3.    1925 – David Graham, Morris Perry, Ysanne Churchman, Hugh Lund (played a Zarbi), Peter Thompson (played a Primord) – can’t find 100% proof these last two are still going but better sourced people say they are as of 2020!

Peter Thompson is still living at 97 according to Doctor Who page on Twitter, recently they make some posts for the oldest actors and he was mentioned, not sure about Hung Lund (he was not mentioned so probably dead or not???)

Yes, they were one of the sources for "maybe alive" - they are a useful resource but can be prone to assuming folk are alive through lack of proof of death.

Hugh Lund is reported to have died December 29th last year according to The Doctor Who Cast & Crew Blog, is also on his IMDb and Amazon page.

Toby Hadoke reports the death of Meg Wynn Owen earlier this year. Apologies that I can’t embed the tweet, but here is a link to the article which revealed her demise. A sad story: https://t.co/xZW1ikLWSy

As reported in the British Character Actors thread, actress Meg Wynn-Owen who played the older version of Isabella in the 2010 Christmas Special - A Christmas Carol, died sometime over the summer (June/July - multiple sources saying different things).

Seems like it was July as the Daily Mail have direct quotes from the prosecutor which says she did in July.

John Barrowman has recently had to cancel shows and posted this earlier on his Instagram.

Apparently he has been given ‘pretty bad news’ and is ‘devastated’ and will give an another update when he can…

The Big Finish?

Barrowman is a bit of a drama queen. Worked with Mel Brooks on The Producers. Worked with Sandi Toksvig on QI. Are either of these a possibility? Has a relative bought the farm, or has a beloved pet gone to that farm upstate?

Be nice of him to be straight with his fans for once.

Saw him a couple of years ago at Wizard Con in Minneapolis. He's aged a fair bit

He had quite an ugly, spiteful meltdown after his predilection for exposing himself made news. He’s certainly finished when it comes to Doctor Who, I think.

Chris Boucher (born 1943) - Alive. Wrote early scripts for Dr Who (Face of Evil, Robots of Death, Image of the Fendahl) and introduced the world to Louise Jameson's Leela, for which we can all be thankful. Also wrote for Bergerac and became producer on Blake's 7. Star Cops, an 80s space drama, was a famous TV flop.

I'll be honest, when I saw you'd quoted me in this thread, that's legit one of the last names I'd have expected it to be about.
