I did see it when it was up. She'll do.

Not used to the Doctor being a bit hot, though.

That's about my assessment, too.

At first glance, I think the Indian cop chick is hotter, though!

It appears that Elaine Banham, who had small roles in the first episode of Planet Of The Spiders for Doctor Who died back in April: https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/3024237 It's the Denville Hall reference that seals it for me.

She's sitting next to Pertwee on the left of the screen during the show at the opening of the episode, clapping and thereafter miraculously appears in the meditation class at the Meditation Centre and even gets a close up about 17 and a half minutes into the episode.

IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0051993/

(For those who really like their minutiae of such things).

The Master as a boy, not The Doctor.

Shocking news. Is this the youngest Who death?

Quite possible.  Would need someone who's truly a fan to respond.  Thanks for the correction.

I'm afraid not.

The baby that stood in for child Sgt Benton in The Time Monster when he regresses died a few weeks after filming according to the DVD commentary.  (Can't mind anyone else that young, though Simon Gipps-Kent, Dursley McLinden and her off Curse of Fenric all died in their 20s.)

Also the Princess in Delta and the Bannerman was believed to be a case of this, but then showed up alive again few years back. Dr Who fans are very keen to bump off actors prematurely see Kevin Stoney, Andre Maranne and many others.

You beat me to posting this. Any idea how he died?

BTW, I only just learned that Jon Pertwee did the voice of Spotty, the giant well... spotted dick..., in SuperTed. :o:lol:B)

Drol mentioned her death in another thread, but all I can find is a single solitary tweet, citing a non-existent tweet. Any evidence she has pegged it?

Shame if so, one of those dependable familiar faces from TV's past:

37 when she died (which makes more sense than 27, given Fenric's 1989, maths fail!).

Judith Byfield, the air hostess in Time-Flight, also died aged 37, but that was of cancer iirc.

Hughes reportedly died while on vacation on the Greek island of Corfu.  No specific cause of death has yet been given.

And Sophie Aldred is 56 today! :birthday:

I didn't know they shared a birthday. I used to love Ace when I was a kid but I went off Sophie Aldred when I learned about her marriage-wrecking affair with Les Dennis. Tramp.

That is the first I had heard of that. I chatted with her at a Comicon a couple of years ago.
