His screenwriting credits include The Knack... and how toget it, The Bed-Sitting Room, and Help!, amongst others, while his TV work includes episodes of Kavanagh QC, Inspector Morse and Sharpe amongst others. Beyond the Avengers, 3 of his scripts which stick in the mind are: London's Burning S5e3 - the one where they fight against time to save a drowning girl in a silo - nightmarish images from when I was a kid. But its also the one where James Hazeldine tries to save the suicidal teen on the big crane, but can't. A grim memorable episode in a series full of grim moments! Shadows of Fear: Did You Lock Up? - Not the best Shadows of Fears (that's the rather Jamie Bulger like Sugar and Spice you wouldn't get away with these days) but a solid runner up to that tag, as good old Michael Craig (why is not a more popular deadpool name these days, he's 92!) suffers a burglary at his home and slowly starts to go mad from the worry it'll happen again. Mark McManus shows up as a thief in an early role too. Shadows: The Future Ghost - Written for kids, this is a complete 180 on a ghost story, as a Victorian young nurse stays in a bed and breakfast, only to hear the cries of an ill child and to walk into a modern 1970s room.
