Hospitalised!

Aww man, not Tongo. I had all his many UK number one hits, loved his duet with Nicole Kidman, and found his BBC sitcom interesting. It's always the household names that get ill...

Such sad news. I still remember back in the day, when Tongo was on The Word with Mark Lamarr. Emu bit him, despite Rod Hull trying to hold him back, and then Tongo went crazy.

And of course, there was also the time when Tongo was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but instead sent an angry letter...

Don't forget his name was the inspiration for Mongo in Blazing Saddles. Fortunately for Brooks and co he was a lot more chill about the homage than Hedy Lamarr was.

He's often called the King of Pop 2. Just look at this masterpiece.

Well that's me convinced. Tongo needs to be Clive Dunn's successor as DeathList ambassador.

I remember you started a thread about him some time ago.

It would be better to reinstate the thread, as he is a possible DL pick 2022, as a European current head of state.

I'll do a thread for him in mid-November if nobody does it before me. Considering how much attention he has gotten from BBC, Independent and The Guardian, I feel like he'll be on the list. (If he makes it to 2022, he's had a very sharp decline since August)

He either has or had cancer and has had recurring pneumonia since an ear infection and sepsis in January and had a mild stroke last month.
