His Holiness Jayapataka Swami's lungs (and other parts of his body) have filled with water because his transplant kidneys aren't functioning: Reveal hidden contents Health update of HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja Camp : ISKCON Juhu , Mumbai, 4.2.2024. Hare Krsna, Dear disciples and well wishers of H.H. Jayapataka Swami Maharaja Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Guru Maharaja, Srila Guru Maharaj's abdominal pain has subsided and after he was symptom free, he had travelled to Mumbai from Ahmedabad by train as the doctors advised to avoid flights due to his mini stroke. Guru Maharaja's BP has come to normal but his transplant kidney is not able to produce sufficient quantity of urine. This has resulted in excess water getting accumulated in Guru Maharaja's body. The doctors have added some medications for removing the excess water. Doctors from Bhaktivedanta hospital came to visit Guru Maharaja in Juhu temple and given their expert opinion too. But, Last night Guru Maharaja's oxygen saturation level came down because of the water getting filled up in the lungs and Guru Maharaja required oxygen support during night. We humbly request everyone to continue intense prayers for Guru Maharaja. He was still able to host an evening class today. How he isn't affected by any of these extreme health problems anymore makes no sense to me. Jayapataka Swami suffering from infection, fever and worsening kidney function, but it doesn't sound serious. Likely going to have to start dialysis again soon, currently being treated by a medical team at his Kolkata "hospital at home". 1
