It was entertaining watching John Bolton, former UN ambassador getting increasingly pissed off with the BBC, scrapping with Simon Sharma and saying one of the reporters should be fired for bias. For goodness sake, this is the BBC. Who does he think they want to win?

Me too, I need a bit of a rest before I go through it all again in the far more important Glenrothes by-election on Thursday night :P .

Well, that's a relief. Now we just need to convince Jo Public that voting in a bunch of clueless toffs over here in a year or two won't be the answer to her credit crunch ills. There's still time, but I fear the worst.

That was indeed hilarious. I thought bear-baiting had been outlawed.

I particularly enjoyed Gore Vidal's rant.

Sounds like he is losing his marbles.

I'm impressed. You all stayed up later than I did. I came home around 8:45pm, took a couple of klonopin and went to bed with only a cursory glance at the TV.

It doesn't really matter, you know. We'll hate him in two years anyway.

I stayed up until midnight, I was also following the Minnesota Senate race between Norm Coleman and Al Franken.

They're doing a recount as there were barely 700 votes seperating the two

As well as the Democrats and Republicans, there were 253 other Presidential candidates, virtually none of whom stood even a theoretical chance of winning. The Prohibitionist Party (down to 12 active members), Libertarians, Greens, Constitutionalists and Ralph Nader were all on selected ballots. The National Socialist Movement, whose candidate John Taylor Bowles's campaign literature shows him sitting in a Storm Trooper outfit with a Nazi swastika on his arm, gave it a go as well. The Vampires, Witches and Pagans Party, led by self proclaimed vampire Jonathon Sharkey struggled to make an impact on their electoral debut. Other hopefuls included The Boston Tea Party, The Reform Party, various Socialists and the Alaskan Independence Party.

We all know Obama won, but I'm struggling to find out who came last.

Actually America was divided 4 years ago and a lot of people felt cheated when Bush got in for a 2nd term.

It came down to whomever won Iowa if I remember correctly.
