bladan 293 Posted August 20, 2018 One for @bladan here: NSDAP's Rudolf Heß marched off this mortal coil an diesem tag einunddreizig jähre ago, aged dreiundneunzig. Achtung! Countess Elizabeth Báthory (1560 – 21 August 1614) was a Hungarian noblewoman and alleged serial killer from the Báthory family of nobility in the Kingdom of Hungary, who owned land in the Kingdom of Hungary (now Hungary and Slovakia) and Transylvania (now Romania). She has been labelled by Guinness World Records as the most prolific female murderer, though the precise number of her victims is debated. Báthory and four collaborators were accused of torturing and killing hundreds of young women between 1585 and 1609. The highest number of victims cited during Báthory's trial was 650. Thank you Liz Bathory. As Einstein said, time is an illusion. You are still with us LOVE

His ship was torpedoed in 1943 or 1944. He barely managed to survive in the cold water. Then he became a POW. He managed to escape but was... what is the word in English - denounce? He was hiding in a hut but was denounced by a peasant in Poland. Russians took him to Siberia. It was rather hard there in Krasnoyarsk. Then he saved a Russian from certain death. In the mines. Because of that became something of a favorite prisoner. Then he was released - in 1950.

Some things make one aware of how short your own time is, Laura Branigan although not a superstar just hits that spot for me. Still a better track than Gloria to me. Ah well.
