Oh my God not again ! I don't believe it- but now you are calling me a perennial offender @YoungWillz  Should I be worried that your anger will evolve into punishment? Am I now due to have my sexy ass smacked hard??!! Don't assume I would regard that as a punishment ;):P

You are always ahead of the curve GC, that's all.

If you stuck with some of your picks, who knows? If you get that right, you could win that damn DDP game. ;)

Thank you. What an intriguing thought and possibility.  Lots of careful thinking and consideration required when I put together next years teams.

I did notice though that you didn't deny you were going to smack my ass hard as punishment....:P;)

Obit guaranteed. Maybe even a QO. At least @Bibliogryphon hopes so as he’s a unique pick of theirs on the DDP!

John Laws (89) has announced his retirement after 71 years on the airwaves. Doesn't seem like the sort of thing he'd do absent of fairly significant health/ageing related factors.

John Farnham's (74) voice has been heard publicly for the first time in 2+ years, following his cancer surgery. Doesn't sound too bad considering the circumstances: https://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/victoria/hear-john-farnhams-voice-post-cancer-surgery/video/fcd16f484c1715c7cdbfeb8727ba32cc

"Australia's Rush Limbaugh" Alan Jones arrested for preying on young men in his positions of power:

Occasionally mentioned here for his many illnesses.

The general consensus here in Oz is shock - shock that he might actually be held accountable while still alive.

Shall we do a sweeps on what diagnoses he's going to get over the next weeks/months that'll disrupt the trial? Dementia's got to be coming in fast.

PS one of my claims to infamy is I bumped into him at a restaurant and got a photo with him, which I then posted as a wind-up only to be censored by Meta several months later.

Supposedly, he has cancer. I don't even believe it's true - or at least exaggerated. But I still believe that he'll escape most of the punishment "naturally". And he's 83 years old. Australia just had a similar case with swimming coach Dick Caine.

Now, Dick Caine was already too sick for trial 2023, but only died in 2024. Still, Alan Jones in 2025, is kind of likely, in my opinion.
