charon 4,943 Posted July 8, 2014 Possibly one for the conspiracy thread....... http://www.themoscowtimes.com/news/article/notorious-russian-gang-leader-dies-in-prison-after-accomplices-suicides/503089.html The gang had been under protection from the Authorities until it stabbed 8 adults and 4 kids at a farmhouse. 3 recent suicides and now a heart attack after a stroke aged 38? Really?........... (need to find out the rest of the gangs names for next year,) Notorious gang leader Sergei Tsapok, convicted of masterminding the murders of 12 people in 2010, died in prison on Sunday night. Tsapok is the fourth member of his gang to die in prison recently, with the three previous deaths all deemed suicides, state news service RIA Novosti reported. The most recent of these three deaths occurred on Friday, a hanging by a man sentenced to life in prison for murder. Authorities suspect that Tsapok, whose gang was accused of terrorizing a rural southern Russian town into submission for over a decade, died of heart failure related to a stroke. An investigation is under way to establish the exact cause of death, the Investigative Committee said Monday in a statement. Tsapok, who is believed to have led the gang in the Krasnodar region town of Kushchyovskaya since 2002, was given a life sentence last year for his role in the murder of wealthy local farmer Server Ametov and 11 of his family members and friends. The farmer had reportedly compromised Tsapok's power in the town by gaining popular support. The mass killing sent a shockwave throughout Russia. Several members of Tsapok's gang were convicted of the murders, which took place on the night of Nov. 4, 2010, in the farmer's home. Tsapok was convicted of making the order. An investigation found that Tsapok, who owned a private security firm and participated in local politics, had ruthlessly tormented local competitors into giving up control of the region's property and business assets. On Saturday, Tsapok was taken to a hospital where he was preliminarily diagnosed with a stroke before returning to his prison's medical facilities for further treatment, the Investigative Committee said. His lifeless body was recovered from his prison cell on Monday morning.

Maybe, but only 400 McDonalds 'restaurants' in a pop of over 140 million. England has over 1000 in a pop of less than a half that. Plus the Ruskies are trying to shut theirs down. We're talking outside chance of dead pool points if the other names are known before they shuffle off (assuming any of them is alive on 1 January). Presumably for the DDP any major newspaper article/BBC report chronicling the astonishing suicide and heart failure rate in a gang of this age would count for obit purposes once it named everyone. Galento 24 Posted July 9, 2014 Is the bloke who shot Mrs. Dewani going to be like the Lockerbie Bomber...........released on compassionate leave as death is impending or so we are told, only to keep going for a few more years? Sherriff Joe in Arizona has the right idea about how to treat scum, and if you don't know who Sherriff Joe is , just type his name into Youtube and you can't fail to be impressed. Pity we can't see his like over here as there would be nobody escaping from open prisons

Galento 24 Posted July 9, 2014 HI, Spade.......no gimmicks where legal matters are concerned, just a frustrated member of the judiciary who sees the piss being taken out of our system by a succession of scum from all parts of the world and I don't apologise for that. This guy will piss us off for other reasons; probs by revealing himself as terminally ill and carking before any of us can pick him. Assuming we do get the chance to score points EVERYONE will have him and so we'll still regard him with very limited affection.

charon 4,943 Posted July 10, 2014 For what it's worth, the 2 Ruskie suicides in custody were not quite as recent as I thought from the article. Pre trial.... The investigators concluded that the farmer Serevera Ametova, his family members and guests in November 2010 killed Sergei and Nikolai Tsapko, Vyacheslav and Sergei Tsepovyaz, Andrei Bykov, Viatcheslav Ryabtsev, Igor Chernykh, Vladimir Zaporozhets, Alex and Eugene Gurov, and Vyacheslav Skachedub Vladimir Alekseev. Also in the murder allegedly participated Vitaly Ivanov and Sergei Karpenko, committed suicide in jail.

Dr. Zorders 1,271 Posted August 28, 2014 John Lennon's killer Mark Chapman is denied parole for the 8th time. Sounds like he's fairly sane now, I dunno if that makes him less of a suicide chance, or more, since he obviously put his heart into that appeal and doesn't actually like being in jail.
