Godot 149 Posted December 6, 2005 "I'm not Gay," says Robbie Williams, said the headline in tonight's Standard. If Williams has been paid six figures for this so-called slur we have to ask: why? Would a libel jury pay out Julian Clary six figures if a newspaper described him as straight? There's something wonky about equality for gays. If we're cool about people being gay, why is it libelous to be pinned as gay? Far more damaging is that Williams was being accused of doing sordid things with two blokes in a public lav. Now that is damaging. But you shouldn't be able to pick up mountains of dosh simply because someone says you're gay. Being gay isn't the issue. A false accusation of promiscuous arse banditry is the issue, surely. Hope you get my drift.

Oh yes, and there was the whole 'Take That' thing.

Olveres 8 Posted February 13, 2007 He's gone into rehab My heart bleeds for him, seriously, must be hard being so rich, I might contact his agent and make him a "Deal or No Deal" type offer: His celebrity and riches for my anonymity and reasonably acceptable income. Why doesn't he donate himself to Zantac and he can become addicted to "experimental may one day be prescription drugs"? That way he gets high and we know if the drugs are safe. Cowboy Ronnie 78 Posted February 13, 2007 He's gone into rehab Two sentences from the article: "William's condition became so bad that Sir Elton John "kidnapped" him and had him admitted to a rehab clinic, he said. William's former Take That bandmates are currently enjoying a hugely successful comeback, including a number one single and album, and a sell-out UK tour." So, according to the TV licence-funded BBC, the possessive of "Williams", is "William's". Pretty soon the human race will be back to communicating through a series of grunts and gestures. DevonDeathTrip 2,357 Posted February 15, 2007 The front page of yesterday's Sun, revealed the Robbie Williams smokes 60 Silk Cut and drinks 35 expressos and 20 cans of Red Bull a day. That is disgusting, no wonder he's feeling ill. He should get some advice from Lemmy. Proper rock stars don't drink Red Bull or smoke Silk Cut.
