Sheila Dikshit, a three-time Delhi chief minister from Congress, has died.  She was 81.  Yes, the name just invites commentary and I see she did garner some interest in 2018 deadpools.

She even gets a BBC obit: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-49056791

A nine months old sign of life from famous French Ballet dancer & movie star Zizi Jeanmaire. The 95 years old is still clearheaded & coherent, but she needs help standing up.

From what I could make out, she says that two years ago she couldn't walk at all, "couldn't put a foot to the ground", but cardiovascular surgery "saved her life".

Perhaps one of our French members can help out here.

In fact yes, this is What she says : caridovascular surgery saved her life because she couldn’t walk. The doctor ask her « how are you now ? » and she answers « I’m really well, I can walk Again even if it’s Difficult » then she talks about her stay in the hospital.

She looks quite well but you can clearly see and hear that she’s tired and old...

Again, this is a politician, so would be more appropriately posted in Political Frailty    I acknowledge that politics is mentioned in the thread title, but the original intent of the thread was persons connected with the arts.

Debatable, particularly since this person wasn't frail...she went from healthy to dead in an instant.  A matter of either accepting threads both as good or narrowing this thread's scope to avoid overlap.

I've always considered this a catch-all thread for anyone from the Indian or Asian or sometimes African continents.  I agree if someone can be put in a more precise thread that is generally accepted -- Tongan PM most definitely in a stately thread imo -- but for lesser politicians I have no problem at all they end up here (See ND Tiwari for instance...and I have no idea if this is where he ended up).  But at no time have I ever considered this thread exclusive to 'the arts' when we have threads for art, broadway, theatre,  blah blah.
