Sad to hear this. He was great in The Grump, though the role (and the publicity that followed) must've been quite strenuous for him, as he had the career-ending stroke fairly soon after it premiered.

Dani, French singer and actress has died aged 77.

Mainly famous here in the UK for appearing in Truffaut's Antoine Doinel films Day For Night and Love On The Run.

She also was supposed to be France's Eurovision entry in 1974, until Georges Pompidou rather selfishly went and died that week.

PS: Her death was made known again from the German historians M. Jahnke in cooperation with R. Kettermann who found her grave in Vienna.

She retired in 1964 and I believe this is the reason, that she died off the radar.

Andy McCoy of Hanoi Rocks has a "serious drinking problem" and can't talk in a comprehensible way say relatives, I wonder who'll go first: Margera or McCoy...

Andy McCoy of Finnish rock band Hanoi Rocks apparently now "doing better" and "has stopped using drugs" but he doesn't exactly look great and apparently walks with a stick now. Here in the middle with cancer survivor ex-alcoholic lyricist Ilkka Vainio.

Update on Yu Miu-Lin, Hong Kong actress, immortal who spent a lot of time on life support with a blood disease (blood cancer) and pulmonary fibrosis last year, three days ago:

She's suffering from multiple chronic diseases, apparently coughs a lot and is in poor health, "her feet are weak" and she's wheelchairbound. But "better than last year" or something.

Yu Miu-lin update...

http://www.sohu.com/a/573682405_121310492

Translated a bit badly with Google Translate, but here's what I got from it:

85 last month, she needs crutches or a wheelchair to move, undergoes targeted therapy every 6 months "to prevent the disease from coming back" (article says if "the disease" comes back, she's a goner) seemingly worse than in April. Does not fear death.

After the death of Ali Haydar, here's three old henchmen of Assad still going:

1)Ali Duba (1933): chief of military intelligence who was seen voting in a wheelchair last year. Clearly suffering from extreme physical frailty and possibly dementia.

2)Ali Aslan (1932): chief of the military staff who was awarded the Order of Merit last year. Seems to be fine.

3)Rifaat al-Assad (1937): vice president and uncle of Bashar, suffered a gastric hemorrhage some time ago. Wanted for every kind of fraud in France, so came back to Syria last year.

Vesa-Matti Loiri, 77-year-old Finnish musician/actor/comedician mentioned a few times by me on this forum has been battling infections recently. He also has sleep apnea, diabetes and hypertension. Relatives and friends are very worried about his health.

Vesa-Matti Loiri hospitalised four days ago "after months of deteriorating health". Sounds serious.
