And now the question no one but deadpoolers care about: what will happen to elder cronies of Assad?

Najah al-Attar, 91, served as VP until the regime's fall. Farouk al-Sharaa is 86. Elder reviled henchmen Ali Aslan and Rauf al-Kasm are both 92.

Will they finish in a mass grave? Will they be exiled? Simply no one gives a single fuck then they will die in obscurity?

Najah al-Attar... completely betrayed Assad and expressed joy for the fall of tyrannical regime, of which she was nr 2. :scratchhead:

If Starmer and Lammy had any backbone (which they don't) they wouldn't let her back in given the anti-British sentiments she came out with whilst married to a brutal dictator.

She has dual nationality – we shouldn't have to take her back. She'd probably argue that if she returns to Syria they'd execute her, which I don't think many ppl would complain about.

She will never leave Russia (Or maybe will go to Cuba if they medicine is better)

Kremlin denying his missus wants out of the marriage (so that's as good as an admission) and doubtless the top-end cancer treatment she's enjoyed in the past is bait. Well, that and the "theatre, opera and visiting the cinema" Wikipedia lists as her interests.

I'm going to pick her after all. That's someone young and ill for whom I don't feel sorry at all.

The Sun gives her a 50/50 chance of Survival. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/32482365/bashar-al-assad-wife-leukaemia/

Ms Assad's leukaemia, diagnosed in May, is understood to have returned after a brief period of remission, the outlet reports.

'Asma is dying,' a source who has spoken directly to the family in recent weeks said. 'She can't be in the same room with anyone [because of her condition].

Sources told the Telegraph he has been caring for her for much of the last six months, in Moscow and the UAE, as she battles a 'vicious' form of cancer.

'She has been 50/50 in the last few weeks,' a source in contact with the family said.

The headline is misleading. Typical underestimation of acute leukemia in adults. Her type of cancer doesn't even have a 50% survival rate to begin with, let alone after a relapse.

It more likely they need an excuse for her death if she in insistent on divorce.

Anyone know if there are relatives on Asma's side of the family here in the UK where the children could go if she dies and Putin then puts a bullet in Assad's head once she is gone. He will not do it before then. Bad form . etc.

The source is General SVR that is the source of most of the Putin health/death rumors. My favourite one has been "Putin fell down the stairs and shat himself"

Haven't we all.............. but without the planet consequences........................ or maybe just me on the odd New Years Day..................
