No one has reported Salvador Villalba's death but we have always assumed that he's dead though. So is his date of death 21 December 2021 then?

Here's a report that confirmed Ramon Mayeregger of 1958 Paraguay is dead. No date of death given. There are conflicting sources if he was born in 1934 or 1937 but looks more like 1934 if he debuted in 1950.

Link doesn't work. It just goes to the home page of a "remove paywall" type site.

Canadianpaul mentioned that many early Turkish birth records don't exist as most muslims don't really care about birthdays as much as Westerners. It's fair to say that many elderly muslims don't actually know their real birthdays and they just pick a random date to put on papers.

Crossposting for Etepe Kakoko (Wiki) of the 1974 Zaire squad. Went missing in September

He was announced dead 2 times before : in January 2022 and in May.

I guess he must be in bad health. Plus dementia often makes people wander off.

Moroccan Abderrahim Ouakili, who participated in the 1998 WC, has died aged 53. He was an unused substitute as Morocco was eliminated in the group stage.

Actually his last cap was a friendly game against Chile in France just before the start of the WC.

Abderrahim Ouakili, Moroccan attacking midfielder who was on the bench for two of their 1998 World Cup matches but didn't see any pitch time, dead at 53. Mainly plied his club career in the Bundesliga 2.

EDIT: or, y'know, what he said.
