Eastham one of what was reasonably common in those days to go to a tournament uncapped then.. Of the other two who went to the 1962 World Cup uncapped Alan Peacock debuted during the World Cup but Jimmy Adamson never got a cap (Ted Burgin, Ken Green, Harry Hooper in the 1954 squad and Maurice Setters in the 1958 squad (But he didn’t travel) the only others to be in a tournament squad and never get a cap.)
Octopus of Odstock 2,180 Posted June 14 Apologies it's actually 8. Ken Brown as well. So with McDonald, Peacock and Douglas, you can still field a team of Winterbottom players but no subs (as per the time I guess)

Bryan Douglas still attends Rovers matches at Ewood Park, and has walked onto the pitch on occasion in the last 12 months. No mean feat for a player of his era. Turned 90 last month.

He has no Bulgarian wiki so it's complicated. If you selected the 1937-born player from this page, it will direct you to Georgi Dimitrov who played in 1956 Olympics. What's contradicting is he only played for the national team until 1958. No reference linked in the wiki mentioned him being part of the 1962 squad. In the Polish and Hungarian wiki, there is a page for the player born in 1937 but never debuted for the national team.

Only the 1974 squad when he was an assistant manager

Still synonymous with own goals in modern Italian football parlance, to the extent that if you put his name into YouTube you get a bunch of "autogol" compilations that don't mention him at all.
