With the death of Norman Spencer 5 "notable" women remain from 1914. I'd say Muazzez Cig is on another level of notability with respect to the others.

All of them seem to be doing very well, but how long before they are all wiped out as it Is the good and right thing?

*Viola Fletcher , Tulsa massacre survivor and activist, wheelchair bound but no health issues.

*Anne Baker , British writer and fundraiser. Frail, but not too much.

*Muazzez Ilmiye Cig , Turkish sumerologist, doing unexplicably well despite being overweight for decades.

*Edith Renfrow Smith , survived serious COVID hospitalization some years ago, able to walk unaided and sound of mind.

*Eileen Kramer , unsinkable until some time ago, has visibly declined in recent years, but still posting regularly on IG and apparently doing well.

Who piggybacked on my discovery. They got that information as a result of me. @Ulitzer95 will testify that I informed him of this privately way before the ESO updated this, I was just waiting for OiB to recognise it before I mentioned the death.

True, and you made me hold my tongue only to be beaten to the post for your own announcement! :P

For the record, the ESO are terrific. I just wanted to be the one to announce this on here.

RIP Norman Spencer, I’m just happy he made it to supercentenarian status and wasn’t secretly dead for years!

Suprisingly just the first death from my list, and it's been five months. That's a long time for 10+ 105-year-olds.

Miye Ota actually made an appearance on this video two months ago:

0:53 onwards. Apparently she had a bad fall and a spinal fracture years ago and has been in 24/7 care for atleast three or four years ago now according to an old gofundme.

As reported elsewhere, football coach Jim Cullivan has died at 103. I was quite sure I had posted a pic of him on his 103rd birthday, but apparently I did not. The level of frailty was quite extreme.

I was reading the centenarians list to pick 15 names for the centenarian pool and there are plenty who are incredibly overdue and getting ridicolously high with age:

Didn't spot this until now but Jean Turco carried the Olympic flame in July.

107 in December. Should comfortably make that. Now in the top 20 oldest living men in France.
