Previous leaders have taken a philosophical approach, in that a lead at this stage is nothing.

 

DI has tumbled from a commanding position, msc remains clawing and clinging to the top 5. Widow's Peak could conceivably draw level with Joey Russ if JR has no more hits and WP hits only 4 in late November/early December. And loads have their valuable Wildcards to play....

 

It all depends who stalls, who goes, and when. This just ain't over until it's over.

Well, I've had a quick glance at the old scoreboard and Brucie is a hit.

 

Unfortunately for msc, this means that with Widow's Peak smashing in with a Wildcard, msc remains the holder of the title for the longest time without a hit.

Just had a more detailed look at the old scoreboard.

 

Toast and Widow's Peak had Brucie as a Wildcard and therefore become joint leaders of the highest individual score at this point @Deathray of 458 Points.

I think no-one above me had both Meads and Forsyth and it's not enough points for me to catch you  and just one of them is not enough points for anyone to catch you ergo you're still leading.

A quick look at your team Sir Creep and I like your chances in this pool - Rayya Elias as your unplayed joker looks like a heap of points you'll be banking before end of the year.

 

On the other hand my joker Stephen Hawking is having a twitter battle with a UK politician over our National Health Service and seems like he will go 'on and on' (in my head I can hear Hawking (well his computer) saying this last bit as I type it). However I believe that when the end finally comes for Hawking it will be fast - there is surely no deterioration period left in him.

The last posted leader board was number 14 on 12th August but that is a bit out of date now due to the flurry of deaths. YW is providing us with nearly 2 leaderboards a month though and also keeping the master list up to date death by death so 5 stars for the Gamemeister from me.

As much as YW has restored a massive amount of efficiency to this pool - in fact I'd even go as far to say the tagline needs changing, I am unfortunately still in charge of the OP, so take your ire out on me over that not YW.

Cheers.  I wasn't blaming anyone, just pointing out something that needed fixing.

Might be a good idea to retire this thread at the end of the year, and have a new one for 2018, with first few posts reserved for scoreboard and masterlists like MPFC does.
