The Daily Telegraph tomorrow going on an anti Vegan battle and the Daily Mail on an anti trans battle. 2024 is going to be very cultural war politics.

Oooh, I've been in that Tesco! Not recently, though, so no danger of running into desperate Tories looking for...I don't even know what. Is this a culture war?

What is his actual problem?

Is it that the supermarkets have chosen to fill their shelves with goods people will need to buy (and being able to buy them in advance will help with those people strapped for cash - everybody)?

Or maybe the free availability of Easter eggs means that the pre-election Culture rant that the Greens/Lefties/Muslims/Tom Nook/LGBT Community have stopped all the God fearing Christians from celebrating Easter?

Or is he just uncomfortable with a story in which a bearded do-gooder with lots of follows, who is betrayed by his own side is given New Life ("for heaven's sake even the initials are the same")?

So a May election then. Rishi thinks he's being tactical in suggesting  the 2nd half of the year and then calling it for May thinking that laughably the oppoistion won't be ready

Another By-Election for Rishi

Majority of 11k in 2019, down from 13k in 2017 oddly enough. Was Labour before 2010, will likely be again soon.

You have to wonder why he's doing it now when all he had to do was wait a few more bloody months and he'd be out of a job anyway. A case of jump before you're pushed?

He was standing down at the next election anyway.

It’s probably the case that he thought he would get to fuck off in May with the expected election but the thought of having to wait until probably October at the earliest has led to him deciding ‘fuck that’.

It's not the same partner of his, but this does remind me of this Commons' exchange:

No he will be gone before that because of his links to the Post Office scandal.
