TQR 14,385 Posted April 21, 2023 Justice Secretary and Deputy PM Dominic Raab has resigned from the government over the bullying report. Obviously it’s all the lefty lawyers’ fault that Raab was found to have been a 28-carat arsehole to his colleagues. Sunak was handed the report before midday yesterday and, despite his pledge to lead a government of integrity, professionalism and accountability at every level, was as usual too weak to act upon the findings, instead letting Raab get away with an apology-free resignation that hits out at the report. Can’t wait to sack this shower of shit at the next GE.
prussianblue 1,027 Posted April 21, 2023 Esteemed statesman Dominic Raab jumps before he's pushed resigns. Such a tragic loss of talent.

Unfortunately it makes Sunak look weak or a poor judge of character either way

In Johnson's cabinet he clearly didn't want anyone more charismatic or competent than him which explained the presence of Nadine Dorries but Sunak is clearly trying to hold the disparate wings of the party together
YoungWillz 21,028 Posted April 21, 2023 Lest we forget... Raab was a do nothing interim leader while Johnson allegedly laid in intensive care, frightened to take any big decisions for fear of angering the blonde blob, contributing to delays in implementing COVID preventative measures. Raab was the Foreign Secretary who sat on his arse on holiday while Afghanistan fell, for which he was sacked. He responds to allegations of bullying just as you would expect from a bully - everyone else is wrong and he is right. Now we expect yet another reshuffle among this bunch of self-entitled millionaires, using the levers of power to line their own pockets or the pockets of their wives or local pub landlords. Could they get any worse than Major's sleaze ridden administration?
DCI Frank Burnside 3,887 Posted April 21, 2023 At least Major had competent people (relatively speaking) in the cabinet like Ken Clarke, Heseltine and Hurd
TQR 14,385 Posted April 21, 2023 New Justice Secretary I’m seeing is going to be Alex Chalk KC, who’s in No.10 with Rishi Noknackers right now. No idea who Alex Chalk is, but I’m sure some cunt will come up with a pun or two.

They need a swing of less than 0.9% to win it.

TQR 14,385 Posted April 21, 2023 Oh, and this balloon is our new DPM. Dowden. Deputy fucking Prime Minister. We’re down to the last cruddy driblets of moisture underneath the bottom of the barrel now.

Aye, Esher's 9th on that list (and tbh it'll go imo, once you prove something is possible to voters they tend to vote for it). Just for context, the super marginal Lib Dem perennial targets/swing seats of St Ives and Eastbourne are actually more marginal than Esher or Cheltenham.

I live in Cheltenham when it fell to the Lib Dems in 92 after the local long serving Tory MP retired. It is natural LD territory, they had run the council before that

Sly Ronnie 878 Posted April 21, 2023 Dominic Raab must take the cake as just about the worst, most incompetent holder of high office in the history of UK cabinet government. A total plank.
