Apologies for the delay just got off a 12 hour shift! Surprised Sacks went so quickly after his last article. At least he didn`t linger though! Only 2 teams in total missed out Sacks (one being gcreptile which loses him the lead) which makes him one of if not the most popular pick.

Indeed and there is potential for a hell of a lot of hits. The points might even get to 4 digits!

It just struck me that I have not specified what happens in the event of a tie.If a tie occurs the winner will be decided based upon the number of hits they have.If that is the same also then I will calculate the mean average age of the players hits and the player with the youngest mean average of hits will be crowned winner. If that fails then it is a tie.

Guest grim up north

If they tie and have same number of hits then will they not also by natural calculation have the same mean average age of hits so your third tiebreaker would fail to resolve on every occasion?

Perhaps another option (although more work) would be the youngest average age of the remaining survivors on each list?

Ah, back from a holiday... When I heard the news of Sacks' death I thought I might have picked him out of laziness after running out of names, but I didn't because I kind of wanted him to stay alive for 2016 so I could pick him then - which was an illogical decision anyway because IF he had survived the year, everyone and their dog would have picked him, too, so point-wise there was no real relative benefit in it. Ah, stupid me...

Edit: The same kind of thinking will rob me of points for Howard Marks, of course.

Interesting you should mention Marks.I googled him earlier and found that he has a new documentary revealing that he was actually a prolific ectasy dealer as well.He looked a bit better than he did a few months ago but maybe that was just because his hair has grown back after chemo. He revealed his involvement in supplying ectasy as he "didn`t give a fuck anymore" , I don't think I would either in his shoes.

As I've posted in Possibilities thread, it's been discovered that James R. Messenger is dead! However---it was in April, so no points and a big hole in my list :-( lol ugh

SC

I have absolutely no idea who James R Messenger was but seeing as the Doug Stanthorpe site gave you the points and the link you gave seems legit I am confident that he is indeed deceased whoever the hell he was.Can you please enlighten me as to who he was out of personal curiosity?Anyhow you gave me a substiute for Amy Watts that is now on my master list so it is only right that you get to pick another name.Who would you like? This option will of course be open to anyone who has a candidate that died before they entered the game but wasn`t reported on.

Dickie Moore has died at 89 five days shy of his 90th Birthday.I think only I picked him but if anyone else did let me know.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/usshowbiz/article-3230008/Legendary-former-child-actor-Dickie-Moore-husband-famous-actress-Jane-Powell-dead-89.html.Here`s a qualifying obit from the mail which seems to put his marriage to Jane Powell above his acting accomplishments.

Uuh, I had also picked Mr. Messenger. I replace him with Howard Marks in that case.

Maybe. Her biography was required reading at school.

For those not in the know she was a German teenager who wrote about her experiences as a drug addict and homeless person. Her story was later made into a film. Things have continued to be quite grim for her.

I found it a clever ploy.

"Jim B" covers a lot of territory I'd imagine.

"Bhumibol A" a bit more limiting.

Amended accordingly he was of course in it all the time and has not resigned and why would he seeing as he is winning.Apologies for the mistakes.I have a chest infection so maybe a bit out of it .Don`t worry though I doubt I am on the way out but if I am I won`t obit unless I die in an outrageous fashion so don`t get too excited.

Aye, Sewell has just increased my appreciation of old masters. Crowe's current doddering is also whetting my apetite for this dead pool, since he's my joker.

At least this game means that the Deaths of Sacks and Sewell did not go to waste. Respectable joint 5th with lots of points still on the board.
