Sean 6,330 Posted August 30, 2015 Indeed and there is potential for a hell of a lot of hits. The points might even get to 4 digits!
Sean 6,330 Posted September 1, 2015 It just struck me that I have not specified what happens in the event of a tie.If a tie occurs the winner will be decided based upon the number of hits they have.If that is the same also then I will calculate the mean average age of the players hits and the player with the youngest mean average of hits will be crowned winner. If that fails then it is a tie.
Guest grim up north Posted September 1, 2015 If they tie and have same number of hits then will they not also by natural calculation have the same mean average age of hits so your third tiebreaker would fail to resolve on every occasion? Perhaps another option (although more work) would be the youngest average age of the remaining survivors on each list?
gcreptile 10,978 Posted September 1, 2015 Ah, back from a holiday... When I heard the news of Sacks' death I thought I might have picked him out of laziness after running out of names, but I didn't because I kind of wanted him to stay alive for 2016 so I could pick him then - which was an illogical decision anyway because IF he had survived the year, everyone and their dog would have picked him, too, so point-wise there was no real relative benefit in it. Ah, stupid me... Edit: The same kind of thinking will rob me of points for Howard Marks, of course.

Interesting you should mention Marks.I googled him earlier and found that he has a new documentary revealing that he was actually a prolific ectasy dealer as well.He looked a bit better than he did a few months ago but maybe that was just because his hair has grown back after chemo. He revealed his involvement in supplying ectasy as he "didn`t give a fuck anymore" , I don't think I would either in his shoes.
